Christopher Holt is an award-winning director, writer and producer of hundreds of hours of documentary and drama including the critically acclaimed and phenomenally successful BBC series “Wonders of the Solar System” and “Wonders of the Universe”.
With an audience in excess of 7million ‘Wonders of the Solar System’ and ‘Wonders of the Universe’ broke all records for science documentaries on BBC2. They catapulted presenter Prof Brian Cox to stardom and had the whole nation talking about space.
Christopher trained as figurative narrative oil painter, his paintings have been exhibited around the world and he was recently a finalist in the BP Portrait Award. His painting was hung in the National Portrait Gallery, London.
In recent years Christopher has moved into narrative drama and his films have played on main broadcasters in the UK and USA. So far Christopher Holt has been nominated for four BAFTAS including ‘Best Director’. Won three Royal Television Society awards and the prestigious PEABODY award for documentary excellence.
